Step 1: describe the pool
Use the liner area planner to get your surface area and gallons, note the liner type and approximate age, and say whether the pool is empty or in service. Five minutes of accurate description is what lets installers quote usefully instead of guessing.
Step 2: we route the request
Your request goes to local installers who work in your part of Wake, Mooresville or the surrounding counties. Routing matters in this trade because liner work is regional: a crew that knows the housing stock and the water system in a town is a better bet than a national franchise.
Step 3: you compare quotes
Expect quotes to differ in what they include, not just in price. Compare measurement responsibility, liner type and thickness, wall and floor repairs, water and disposal, and both warranties. Our checklist and bid worksheet exist for exactly that comparison.

What to have ready
- Pool dimensions, or the surface area from the planner
- Pool type: inground or above-ground
- Approximate pool age, and when the current liner was fitted
- Liner type if you know it: overlap, beaded or unibead, and the mil if it is printed on the old liner
- What you have seen: leaks, wrinkles, floating sections, rust stains or a soft floor

How many quotes should I get?
At least two, and compare what each includes rather than the headline number. A cheaper quote that excludes water, disposal or wall repair is not cheaper.
